The USC Blue Diamond is one of our all time favorite corals. Where the light hits it, it’s hard to find a coral with a brighter blue. The polyps fluoresce bright blue. The under-color is a darker blue with a hint of purple. This staghorn loves to climb high in the water column then spread out as it approaches the surface. It’s a great grower and we have trouble keeping it from breaching the surface of the water.
That of course means when it comes to light, it wants lots but has a way of finding it. We recommend putting it about mid tank or a bit lower and letting it do its thing. It does have a tendency to grow densely as it gets tall so watch out for shading and don’t be afraid to keep it trimmed back.
This coral is WYSIWYG. You will be buying the actual coral shown here.
